with the release form and the $20 tryout fee (make checks payable to UWA
Cheerleaders):

Tryout Requirements
Tumbling
One running pass, Standing backhandspring, and Standing
tuck (preferred)
Stunts
Extension (in the fight song), Liberty/full down, &
Optional stunt with up to 3 transitions
Mascot Tryout Requirements
Two minute skit (maximum)
*There will be 16 girls chosen at
tryouts and $1,000 per year scholarships will be awarded to each member of
the squad.
*Check-in for tryouts will
begin at 5:30p.m. on Friday, April 4 at Pruitt Gymnasium.
*Tryout
material including a cheer and fight song will be taught the
weekend of tryouts. Incorporations will be made in both the cheer and the
fight song.
*You must apply and be accepted to
the university before the weekend of tryouts.

*Open mat Practices will be held on
Sunday afternoons from 3:00p.m.-6:00p.m. in Foust Gym. Those that are interested in trying
out are welcome to come practice stunting, tumbling, and anything else in
order to be well prepared for tryouts.
